I was in today to have my brakes checked on my 2016 Landrover Discovery. While I had expected to have them checked and have to come back another day to have the work done. To my surprise and pleasure they had pre-ordered the brakes, so they were able to complete the work all in one visit. It was refreshing to see the forethought they gave to my visit and that they did not try to over sell me into buying front brakes, which don’t need to be changed yet. I highly recommend Shore Automotive, their staff was friendly, informative and very helpful. I will be back and let everyone know the great service I received. 

 If you have an older Jaguar in need of maintenance or repairs, I highly recommend Shore Street Automotive. Scott and Greg are very knowledgeable and professional in their approach. They are honest and fair in their dealings and set the standard for how auto service should be delivered. I have made the rounds with other Jaguar mechanics in the Ottawa area. In my opinion, none of them are in the same league as Shore Street Automotive.

 Greg and Scott are extremely knowledgeable not only with Jaguars and Land Rovers, but with all makes and models. I brought my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 to a different garage about a month ago to have it serviced before the winter, and was completely dissatisfied with their work. I pulled into Shore St Automotive so I could have a second opinion on the work I’d had done, and immediately felt comfortable in the shop. They put it right on the hoist, checked everything I had had done, and tightened tie rods that this other garage had apparently “forgotten” to do. After that, they serviced my front brakes (in no time at all) with excellent quality. My front end felt like it was brand new just from the tightening of the tie rods, and the brakes were (and still are) solid as can be. If you want fast friendly service from experienced professionals, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHORE ST AUTOMOTIVE!!!! I will be coming here for ALL of my auto service needs. THANKS GREG AND SCOTT!

 I was very pleased to find an excellent alternative to servicing my Discovery at the local dealer. My recent experience with Scott at Shore Street Automotive was first rate. They provided me an accurate quote, returned my emails and calls, gave prompt updates and delivered the repaired rover on time. I plan on using these guys for all my repairs in the future and won’t have to consider taking my Discovery to Montreal for service as I have in the past. Two guys who were smart enough to realize the “service gap” are technically sound and understand the importance of customer service. I highly recommend you give them a try.

 Had a great experience with Scott and Greg at Shore St. Motors, I had to get some warranty work done on my 2007 Range Rover Sport, they were able to do an assessment and find some problems which were identified quickly and repaired efficiently, they pointed out some maintenance issues and they were able to get the whole vehicle squared away in a couple of days. I would highly recommend him for any of your LR needs.

This was my first time bringing my 2014 Range Rover Evoque to Shore. My Turbo required replacing. Scott was extremely helpful and kept me in the loop throughout the estimate and repair process. This level of customer service is above and beyond anything I have experienced. My car was fixed on time and on quote, which was far less than the dealer. I will never bring my car anywhere else. I was having issues with my air suspension on my 2003 Range Rover HSE.

I had recently changed all 4 air bags on the vehicle, so when that lovely air suspension warning came up on dash, and my poor vehicle was sagging down I brought it in to these guys.
I’ve owned the vehicle for roughly a year now, and I do a lot of my own mechanical work (with the help of my licensed mechanic father in law) so this was the first time I needed a Land Rover specific tech that knows their way around these vehicles (father in law is Porsche/Audi tech).
These guys were absolutely great to deal with from start to finish. First I read the great reviews they have and decided to see for myself.
From booking the appointment they were incredibly receptive over the phone, then dropping off the vehicle they were great to get me in and out same day (for diagnostic) as my 2nd vehicle is out of commission for a large job. Very upfront through the process.
They really do know their way around these vehicles which is awesome. But the best part is they are very honest, and write a greatly detailed inspection report showing the steps they took to diagnose the failure, to then also ensure no leaks in system, gave the faults that displayed (compressor output), explained how they came to the conclusion that they did (with proof of fault codes), checked voltages on height sensors etc.
What more could you ask for? Most businesses (and not just mechanics, but also construction/trades etc) will keep you in the dark mostly, while giving minimal information to deter you from fixing yourself / leaving for second opinion at risk of some imaginary catastrophic failure so you’ll use their services out of fear of immediate necessity.
These guys are the exact opposite and man is it refreshing to see true great service. I will definitely be back soon, and you should too. Work is top notch and they’ll have you up and running. Keep up the great work guys and soon the Land Rover Ottawa stealership bays will be empty. 😉

We have been really happy with Shore. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.

 I own a 2015 Jaguar XF had it at the local dealer several times for an issue. I basically gave up on them and just lived with the problem until something else went wrong with the car. Found these guys online and looked at the reviews. All I can say is they are professional honest and know what they are doing within hours of dropping the car off i had a diagnosis and emailed quote on the cost and when they could fix it. I got my car back A1 service would recommend these guys to anyone. Awesome Service. The Dealer should take a course on Service from these guys. Thanks Again

Brought my Range Rover Sport for service. All the technicians were very nice and professional. Got an appointment within a very reasonable time frame. They’re very quick and won’t waste your time. Don’t even risk bringing your vehicle to the Ottawa dealer they will loose your appointment or make you wait several hours before starting to work on your vehicle. Prices are much cheaper to the dealer. Would recommend anyone who has a recent or older Land Rover or Jaguar to visit Shore Street Automotive. You won’t be disappointed!

I have entrusted my Jaguars – classic and not-so-classic – to Greg and Scott for some years now, and they have never run better. Latest example: my 1994 XJS had play in the steering and pulled to the side when braking. A brake flush and new bushings, and she is driving, steering and stopping as solidly as the day she left the showroom. These guys embody integrity, work ethic, and expertise. I came across shore Automotive shop searching online for parts needed on my 01 VDP. I assumed ,I was calling the local dealer🤔 after a short intro over the phone, Scott the owner set me straight on his Shop Specialties & Services . Took my Range Rover Evoque in for some mysterious errors that the dealership was unable to fix for over a week (actually, they said they DID fix it, even though it was clear that the errors kept coming back). The boys fixed me up in 1 day and she’s driving better than when I got her! 

Shore St. Automotive is seriously the best shop I have been to in terms of knowledge and overall service. The team was very informative and took their time explaining exactly what our issues were and the repair plan.
All items on the invoice were clearly explained as to what work was done and the time spent on each issue.

Amazing service! Got the TCCM module reprogrammed on my RRS. Greg took the time to discuss with me in a very friendly and professional manner! I do my own mechanical work most of the time so understand cars… I had not feeling that they are trying to screw me over… they did what was right for me and charged me the fair price. Good job! 

Performed 4 wheel alignment (2006 LR3) on short notice right before holidays. Great to deal with, know their Land Rovers. Would recommend.

First time going to shore st for service and ill never bring my range rover anywhere else. Knowledgeable and professional staff with fair prices and great service. 

Right before Christmas break alternator on my LR3 went away. With lots of driving planned it was a bad surprise… Dealership offers booking for after new year, way too long… I start looking around and stumble upon Scott and Greg, to my surprise they took me in right away for diagnostics and quickly identify the problem, moreover, despite Christmas around the corner they squeeze me into their tight schedule and next day I was up and running !!!  I purchased a Defender from overseas and initially took it to another shop. After a serious issue at their end I looked up another local Land Rover specialist. I located Shore Street and explained my predicament to Greg, who answered my call. I took my Defender 90 to them and they resolved the issue quickly and inexpensively without fuss or bother. I have been back a few times and have since imported a Spanish Defender 110.

I will be using Shore Street for all my Land Rover needs as well for my other vehicles too. I do not hesitate but recommend Scott and Greg. What a knowledgeable, personable and reasonable 2 guys; you couldn’t ask for more. Given Scott is a fellow Scot too you can’t go wrong.

Thank you Greg and Scott. The latest visit was my second but this time it was for a major job. Scott provided me a detailed estimate which turned out to be 1/2 of what the dealer had quoted me. The work was done on time and below the quoted estimate. Scott kept me aware of the progress on the repairs and saved me money down stream by pointing a few additional preventive repairs that could be done now and would save more expensive ones later. I have had problems with my LR3 sorted quickly here that the dealer had no clue how to fix. An outstanding independent garage. The local Land Rover community at last has expert service, parts supply, and specialist knowledge from mechanics who take pride in their work, and don’t expect you to pay through the nose for it.  These guys are awesome. Half the price and twice the quality of any dealer. Best of all, they’re trustworthy – because you know they have ‘skin in the game’ of making customers want to come back again and again. They fixed my problems quickly & efficiently, sourced some well-priced parts (always important with a Land Rover!) and I’ll be going back again. The workshops and waiting area are clean & well laid out, and the staff are very professional. I have no connection with them, I just think they’re great.

 If you drive a Rover of any flavour, you’re going to want to get to know Greg and Scott at Shore St. Automotive. I’d just had an oil change performed on my LR3 at one of those drive-in places. Of course, 2km away from the oil change shop, the check engine light came on. A friend had told me about Shore St. just two days previously – claimed they were fantastic, so I decided to stop in. What a great shop! It’s small and cozy and very clean… but what’s more important Scott and Greg exude that kind of “we can help” confidence you really want to find when you’re handing over a vehicle as finicky as a Land Rover. They worked their tails off non-stop, until they’d tracked down the Gremlin, and had me on my way. Best of all – NO STICKER SHOCK! As you know, simply asking somebody to look at a Land Rover results in a bill that can only be described as astronomical… not here. My problem wasn’t a simple one to solve – it took almost as many detective skills to track down in addition to mechanical knowledge to fix and I was expecting a bill at least 3 times higher than what I was charged. Finally… somewhere to get a Land Rover fixed in Ottawa where you don’t start worrying if you can pay your mortgage this month.Clean, friendly, knowledgeable and affordable. What more do you want in a Automotive Service site. My friend who recommended them deserves a beer!

 Had an LR4 for 3 years and only just started using Shore St. These guys have done 2 jobs for me and both times kept me fully updated with what they were doing. As one was the timing chain which was a nasty big job, other smaller parts needed replacing. I had the confidence that all was done at a very reasonable price and along with that these mechanics are highly skilled and experienced with LR’s. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and certainly pleased that I discovered them. If you are searching for personable and affordable mechanics you will prove Shore St Auto to be just that.
